Global SI Online TESOL

This program is a fully Online TESOL certification course which provides the knowledge and practical skills that all English Language Teachers should possess to be effective in the classroom and competitive in the job market.

Jeonju University was founded on January 9th, 1964 as Jeonju Youngsaeng College. In February of 1981 it moved to present-day Hyoja-dong Campus. It acquired a university status on September 8th, 1983 and renamed Jeonju University.

Jeonju University currently has 11 undergraduate schools and 8 graduate schools and is accredited by the Korean Council for University Education.

Course Structure

The Global SI Online TESOL course includes 15 modules divided into 2 parts.
  1. The core TESOL curriculum
  2. TEC (Teaching English to Children)
Each module consists of a video lecture, online textbook, quiz and assignment.
After viewing the video lecture and online textbook, students should take the quiz and complete the assignment.
Assessments of the quizzes and assignments will be reported to each student individually.

Each Module is designated as 8 hours of class time.
Of course being an online program where students may work at their own pace, each individual may spend less or more time with each module.

Assessment and Graduation
Students will be given a “pass” or “fail” grade at the end of the course based on the scores of quizzes, assignments.
A total score of less than 60% will be considered a failing grade.
Students are allowed to work at their own pace and are given a maximum of 12 months to complete the course.
Failure to complete the course in the allotted time will result in a failing grade.

Those who complete the course with a passing grade will receive:

  1. Certificate of TESOL from Jeonju University
Both of these documents will be sent as hard-copy originals to the graduate through the mail.
